Newsletter #23 – June 2024

Last events for The PrOPEL Hub

We have greatly enjoyed and benefitted from being part of the major UK-wide people and productivity project led by the University of Strathclyde: The PrOPEL Hub. The work of the Hub will wrap up at the end of June 2024, but we are fitting in a couple more events before then! There are still tickets to book on the Leicester People Management Hackathon and although the Bootcamp is ‘sold out’, you can register an interest in any future events of the same kind by joining the waiting list.

1)     ESRC PrOPEL Hub People Management Hackathon, Leicester, 17 June 2024 Tickets, Mon 17 Jun 2024 at 13:00 | Eventbrite

2)     Knowledge Exchange Bootcamp for Early Career Researchers – Social Sciences Tickets, Tue 25 Jun 2024 at 10:00 | Eventbrite

Professor Colin Lindsay takes the opportunity to reflect on our successful event at The Shard earlier in May in this blog: Reflections on Mental Health, Workplace Wellbeing and Productivity (

It also includes the slides from everyone involved, so if you missed the event, you can still catch up on the fascinating breadth of content.

Kevin Daniels’ talk on Sustaining Workplace Health and Wellbeing Programmes

Watch the full hour video, or download the complete slides, from Prof Daniels’ talk to the WHISPAs network on 29th May. WHISPAs is a University of Birmingham project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and it stands for ‘Workplace health and wellbeing initiatives that are free at the point of use to workplaces’.
