- INFORM YOURSELF AND OTHERS ABOUT THE VALUE OF WORKPLACE WELLBEING
Watch the video on the homepage to learn why workplace wellbeing is important – and show it to your managers and board. Use the business case calculator to find out the different financial benefits of implementing various workplace wellbeing initiatives. Take the free online course accessible via the professional development page and ask your line managers to do it too – so everyone is up to speed on workplace wellbeing without incurring a training cost to your business. Read the case studies online and in the PDF guide to embedding workplace wellbeing and listen to the podcasts to keep up to date.
2. WORK IN A SYSTEMATIC WAY ON YOUR WORKPLACE WELLBEING APPROACH AS A BUSINESS
As an HR professional, leader or manager, take the diagnostic questions and note down the sections of the ‘Explore and Embed guide’ which it recommends. Share these questions with others in your business via our PDF guide. Get them to note down their answers too and compare notes – this will help you identify whether different people in your organisation have different perceptions of your wellbeing offering. Either download the PDF of the guide or follow the links on the diagnostic output page to the online versions to find the relevant parts of the guide that could help you in your business. Form a small wellbeing working group (3-12 people) to discuss the questions in the guide and to help you identify issues and work towards a better workplace wellbeing strategy for your organisation. Use the final section of the guide to set up an annual review of your business’ workplace wellbeing approach. You can do the above as light-touch or as involved as you see fit as a business.
3. JOIN OUR COMMUNITY
We run the Evolve Workplace Wellbeing Network where HR and wellbeing professionals plus managers and leaders of small businesses hear the latest insight on workplace wellbeing from new research and discuss their successes and barriers together. Dr Helen Fitzhugh offers ‘Office Hours’ where network members can sign up to discuss any workplace wellbeing topic and hear the latest research insight. Join us! (Currently participation involves being part of a research study, but we are also taking contact details for people who would like to be part of the Network from Autumn onwards without committing to participation in any research).
